Creek Hiking
Creek hiking is a perennial favorite. No trip to Asbury Hills would be complete with out a trek down Matthew's Creek. Recommended route is from the "Bathtub" to the office.

Picnicking
While there are many places on site that are wonderful for impromptu picnics, if your group is looking for a larger picnic site, ask about reserving our Picnic Shelter. Located beside Matthew's Creek in a very well shaded area is a large picnic shelter with many tables both under and around the covered pavilion. The picnic shelter has a large charcoal grill.

Swimming
Our newly renovated swimming pool is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Especially nice about our pool for large groups of youth and children: a very large shallow (3' to 4') area. Our pool is open by appointment Memorial Day - Labor Day. Minimum of two week advance scheduling, in order to book a lifeguard is required.

Canoeing
We have canoes, paddles, and trained instructors so that your group can paddle on our man-made lake. We can also assist you in taking your retreat group over to neighboring Lake Jocassee for a more challenging paddle. Minimum of two week advance scheduling, in order to book a lifeguard is required.

Archery
A short walk from our dining hall is an archery range available for your group's use. Archery range and equipment can be used only under camp staff supervision so advance notice is required.

Tree Climbing
By prior arrangement, our staff, trained in ropes course facilitation, can set up a 100 foot tree in the center of camp for your group to climb on belay. This is a wonderful challenge by choice exercise and the tree-top view of the camp is unforgettable.

Ropes Course
Whether visiting for day retreat or longer, don't forget to arrange for your group to enjoy the ropes course or, alternately, ask for team building, low initiatives exercises.
