Food Service Director
Asbury Hills

South Carolina United Methodist Camps & Retreat Ministries and Asbury Hills Camp & Retreat Center in Cleveland, SC, is accepting resumes for the position of  Food Service Director.

Responsibilities include initiating, implementing, and overseeing food planning and preparation for campers, staff, and guests. Supervise and hire all kitchen staff, manage scheduling and serve as the main point of contact of the kitchen for all staff. Oversee the inventory and ordering of food, equipment, and supplies. Provide excellent Christian hospitality by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining hall environment. Maintain standards with the ACA and State Health Department. The ideal candidate will have a growing Christian faith consistent with the United Methodist Church, welcoming demeanor, excellent leadership and administrative abilities, ability to lead a team and communicate throughout the ministry, vision and passion for outdoor ministry, and creative food service skills for all ages. Benefits include salary, health insurance, and pension.

Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience in food service operation
  • Experience in a school or camp environment preferred but not required
  • Leadership, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Time management skills
  • Food planning and preparation skills
  • Knowledge of current health and safety laws and practices
  • Experience tracking and managing finances
  • Knowledge in commercial kitchen equipment and inventory management

Facilities Director
Asbury Hills

South Carolina United Methodist Camps & Retreat Ministries and Asbury Hills Camp & Retreat Center in Cleveland, SC, is accepting resumes for the position of Facilities Director.

Responsibilities include maintaining all buildings, roads, trails, grounds, and vehicles. Oversee housekeeping and any contractors on site.  Provide excellent Christian hospitality by maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming facilities and grounds. Maintain standards with the ACA and State Health Department. Ensure the property and facilities are in good working order, kept clean, organized, and safe for all guests and staff. The ideal candidate is hard working, organized and skilled at carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical as well as management and leadership skills. Benefits include salary, health insurance, and pension.

Qualifications

  • Project management experience
  • Grounds and property maintenance
  • Basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical skills, and mechanical repair
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs. or more consistently
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Familiarity with the use of power equipment
  • Leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Time management skills
  • Knowledge of ACA standards and current health and safety laws and practices
  • Experience tracking and managing finances
  • Knowledge in grounds upkeep, building and facility upkeep and housekeeping

Marketing & Communications Director
SC Camps & Retreat Ministries

South Carolina United Methodist Camps & Retreat Ministries in Greenville, South Carolina is accepting resumes for the position of Director of Marketing & Communications.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining marketing and communications plans across the ministry, creating and planning content for all social platforms and managing social platforms. Maintain and updating webpages across the ministry. Plan and design print and digital materials. Manage communications through email and connections with the SC UM Conference.

The ideal candidate will have a growing Christian faith consistent with the United Methodist Church, welcoming demeanor, excellent leadership and administrative abilities, ability to self-manage and communicate throughout the ministry, vision and passion for story telling through content, and desire to learn on the go.  Benefits include salary, health insurance, and pension.

Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or similar
  • Experience with social media management (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Experience with content creation and copywriting
  • Self-management and time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn on the go
  • Knowledge on the camping industry is encouraged
  • Photography skills not required but encouraged
